What is a Paid Directory?

The term paid directory means exactly as it sounds. It refers to a directory that may be of any nature that can either store, contacts, names, addresses, articles, news pieces, blog and or all of the above mentioned at the same time. The paid directory is very similar to a web directory as it has the exact same purpose and aspects. However, the only difference is that the URL's, articles etc placed here are paid for. This would mean either that the person submitting the article etc, has been paid by the web directory or that the web directory has charged a certain annual or per article fees from the submitting person. Web sites which run on a solely members only restriction basis are usually paid directories.
